Five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo has teamed up once again with Binance to launch his second exclusive NFT collection, ForeverCR7: The GOAT.

“It is great to have the opportunity to collaborate again with Binance on this project for my fans, especially those that have cheered me on since those early goals,” said Ronaldo.

“Creating this collection and reflecting back on my career highlights has been very rewarding, and I can’t wait to see the response to the collection and have the chance to train with a lucky few.”

Launching on July 3, 2023, this collection comprises 29,327 NFTs and features 20 unique designs that capture the spirit of Ronaldo’s goal-scoring skill. It offers fans the opportunity to “own” specific goal numbers and cherish memorable moments from Ronaldo’s illustrious career.

Unforgettable goals like #806, which solidified his status as the top goal scorer of all time, and #649, Ronaldo’s personally acclaimed best goal through a bicycle kick, will now be preserved in the form of digital collectibles.

Binance co-founder and CMO Yi He expressed her excitement about the collaboration. Besides celebrating the athlete’s achievements, Yi said the collection showcases how Web3 can change the sports and entertainment industry.

In November 2022, the footballer launched his first NFT collection with Binance, which sold out within the first week. Top-tier NFTs in the collection were sold for an average auction price of $22,800.

“It was important to me that we created something memorable and unique for my fans as they are such a big part of my success,” said Ronaldo on his first collaboration with the exchange.

The two campaigns are expected to serve as a gateway for Ronaldo’s fans to Web3 through the world of NFTs. According to Yi, the metaverse and Web3 are “the future of the internet.”

Perks offered in second collection

The collection is divided into four tiers: Normal, Rare, Super Rare and Super Super Rare (SSR). Holders of different tiers will receive varying levels of perks and rewards. Every collector will get a personal recorded thank-you message from CR7 himself. Purchasing these NFTs will also automatically render holders eligible for future giveaways, with a chance to get exclusive CR7 merchandise.

In addition to the perks offered on the Normal tier, Rare NFT holders will also receive a signed and printable Binance X CR7 poster. Super Rare NFT holders enjoy all the perks of the Rare level. They also get an exclusive video from Ronaldo, where he shares his thoughts about the specific goal captured by the NFT. Additionally, holders of Super Rare NFTs receive a Binance football shirt signed by CR7 himself.

Holders of the SSR tier enjoy all the rewards from the Super Rare level and below, plus exclusive tickets to an upcoming Binance Blockchain Week. They also receive a personal training session with Cristiano Ronaldo in person.
